- I can't stand the screen on the 140, but love the screen on the 170. The 140's
- screen either puts a tail on the cursor or submarines the cursor. With the 170,
- the cursor is always visible, and never has a comet tail as does the 140 and 100
- screen. The only problem with the 170's screen is that pixels sometimes die, but
- when five of the 256,000 (about 0.0002 percent of them) die, Apple will replace
- the screen for free, under warranty or AppleCare. I can live with that. However,
- I don't particularly care for that monitor either (IMO, no LCD monitor comes
- anywhere close to the visibility of a good CRT), so I haven't bought any portable
- or laptop computer.
