- If you have 9Mb or more RAM in your IIsi, then the cache setting should no
- longer affect the video speed, anyway, and you can leave it small. I don't
- understand why this is, but we noticed it when we bumped up the RAM on one
- of our IIsi's at work. If you have less than 9Mb, I can't see setting the
- cache to 1Mb, unless 8-bit color is crucial for your work, because you've
- got little enough RAM to run with, anyway. My preferred solution, until I
- went to 9Mb myself, was to switch back to 4-bit color. This lets the machine
- run at ~90% of its rated speed while leaving you enough color to enjoy.
