  25. I'm surprised no one's posted the correct answer for this one...

  27. To use the Namer in System 7, simply drag the device files for whatever
  28. devices you wish to rename (LaserWriter, ImageWriter LQ, etc.) *outside*
  29. the Extensions folder on your local machine.  The Namer can't find them
  30. unless their sitting loose in the System Folder.  Once you've done your
  31. naming, you may move the device drivers back into the Extensions folder. 
  32. Voila.
