  13. Ref. my posting a few days ago about manipulating VAX files
  14. with HyperCard on the Mac, I've received several replies to
  15. date.  Thanks to all who responded.  In summary:

  17. Erik Bleifield (ducky@engin.umich.edu) sent a press release
  18. about a product available from ADPA called CommsTalk which
  19. allows developers to create "front ends" to textual computer
  20. systems using HyperCard.  ADPA will send you details.

  22. Thomas C. Obrien (tomo@ocf.Berkeley.edu) suggested using
  23. HyperFTP to ftp the file from the VAX to the Mac, alter it,
  24. and ftp it back.

  26. Kieran G. McCorry (mccory@belfst.enet.dec.com) suggested look-
  27. ing into PathWorks for Macintosh from DEC. (I've had some
  28. experience with this in the past).

  30. Robin Goldstone (RGOLDSTONE@oavax.csuchico.edu) discussed
  31. Oracle.  If my client is using Oracle on their VAX, this may
  32. be a reasonable solution.
