- Ref. my posting a few days ago about manipulating VAX files
- with HyperCard on the Mac, I've received several replies to
- date. Thanks to all who responded. In summary:
-
- Erik Bleifield (ducky@engin.umich.edu) sent a press release
- about a product available from ADPA called CommsTalk which
- allows developers to create "front ends" to textual computer
- systems using HyperCard. ADPA will send you details.
-
- Thomas C. Obrien (tomo@ocf.Berkeley.edu) suggested using
- HyperFTP to ftp the file from the VAX to the Mac, alter it,
- and ftp it back.
-
- Kieran G. McCorry (mccory@belfst.enet.dec.com) suggested look-
- ing into PathWorks for Macintosh from DEC. (I've had some
- experience with this in the past).
-
- Robin Goldstone (RGOLDSTONE@oavax.csuchico.edu) discussed
- Oracle. If my client is using Oracle on their VAX, this may
- be a reasonable solution.
-
- I will investigate these suggestions further, and will probably
- find what I need here somewhere. Thanks very much for the
- help.
