- I had the chance to install and review System 7.1 (Beta) today on my IIci
- after and office mate was unable to get it running on his IIfx. Seems there
- is a bug in the installer that bombs on the fx.... I lcame away with the strong
- impression that 7.1 has a couple of serious bugs, but will likely be very stable
- in its' next release. IE: The bugs seemed to be of a fairly subtle type,
- though they caused a number of crashes: Specifically problems with printing
- and some finder operations (like Get-Info).
-
- While Worldscript isn't that useful to us Americans, it should help the
- mac compete VERY effectively in the appropriate countries... and for
- general 7.0 users, 7.1 offers fixes to a number of minor weaknesses of
- 7.0... I think it will be a very robust OS in about 2-3 months.
-
- Have Fun!
