  14. Hi,
  15.     I have had two different Mac Plusses develop the same problem. 
  16. At any time (idle or in an application) I get the harddisk light on
  17. continuously, and the system either freezes or crashes, id= almost every
  18. different one at this point. Reboot, everything's ok for a few hours.
  19. I fixed the problem once by replacing the whole harddisk. Reformatting
  20. and restoring the second problem disk has had no effect. Power 
  21. surge suppressor strip. No unusual inits.
  22. 40mb Mac scsi hd. Is this a symptom of a sick disk or what? Norton
  23. (of course) sees nothing. Any ideas? JD
