- I'm not sure why it is, but the amount of physical RAM you have
- seems to make quite a difference. I used to run my si with 5 megs,
- then upgraded to 17 megs. There was a *noticeable* speed difference
- in the desktop redrawing, scrolling, etc, esp. when I switched
- to 1-bitmode. It's true that it is tough to work with 3 megs and
- Word.
