- Actually a logic upgrade does wonders for speeding up the LWSC. I found
- that when I upgraded from a Mac Plus to a IIci the Laserwriter speeded
- up dramatically. I recently connected it to a Quadra 700 and found
- further improvement. In fact with the Quadra it printed faster than
- the LW IIg down the hall. Of course the Quadra had other beneficial
- effects when I wasn't printing ;-).
-
- Seriously, your upgrade possibilities are to go to a IIf or IIg board.
- The price will be in the $1K - $2K range for the upgrade. This is
- really not very far off from the price of a new IIsi or IIci. Given
- this info, I would personally rather upgrade the main CPU and keep
- the LW as it is (which is exactly what I did...)
