- Yes it is documented, in the manual for your PowerBook 140.

- To turn it off, open the Portable control panel, hold down the Option key,
- and click on the text reading "Minutes Until Automatic Sleep." You will then
- be presented with a dialog box explaining this "feature" ;-), and two radio
- buttons that will turn it on and off.
- What the "feature" does is to slow your 68030 down from 16Mz to 8Mz (I think
- those are the right numbers) to save your battery. Until I searched the manual
- for how to turn it off I found it one of _the_ most frustrating "features" of
- my PowerBook 170.
