- I recently purchased a new IIsi 5/80 for my boss. We loaded
- it up with 4 Meg SIMMs and I took the 1 Meg SIMMs to put
- into my Mac II. I have been using this machine for 5 years
- with 5 Meg of memory. I was looking forward to having 8 Meg.
-
- The problem is that it does not seem to recognize the new
- 1 Meg SIMMs. One symptom is the 5 chord noise when I boot.
- If I wiggle the SIMMs in their sockets, the machine will go
- ahead and boot. But, when I check "About the Finder", it
- tells me that the system only has 4 Meg of memory.
-
- Where, oh where, am I screwing up?
