  10. I have similiar problems printing EPS files from my Deskwriter.
  11. The problem is when you make something in Illustrator it comes up on the screen
  12. in Quickdraw. The images are "clean" when you draw them. The Stylewriter along
  13. with the HP Deskwriter is a Quickdraw printer. Everything is fine there, when
  14. you export the file to EPS it is converted to Poscript. Illustator only gives it
  15. a rough Quickdraw representation (Quickdraw is also the format you mac uses to
  16. display images on the screen). So when you print it out in Word on you
  17. stylewriter you only get that rough quickdraw image. If that file was printed on
  18. a Postscript device such as the Laserwriter, it would come out "clean." Another
  19. solution would be to buy an interperator program such as Freedom of the Press. I
  20. don't know much about it other than it will fix your problem. It costs something
  21. like $80 and I'm considering purchasing it myself. Does that make sense?
