- What I meant to post was that the Micron Color30 for the SE/30 does allow
- use of the internal B&W simultaneously.
-
- A question: why does the greyscale-internal monitor option not work with
- an external monitor attached? Besides the answer "It's not supposed to", I
- mean. It would be quite convenient if I could have two 8-bit displays. My
- guess is that it is a hardware thing. When there is no external monitor,
- the video RAM is used to show 8-bit greyscale on the internal. But when the
- external monitor is being used, this extra VRAM is busy; why not add some
- additional VRAM just for the internal display? The greyscale adapter is $70
- or so, so why not add $25 or less (my guess)
-
- Another Greyscale-adapter question: what does it look like? How big is it,
- etc. Basic technical specs would be appreciated.
