- Unless this is a used IIp Plus and it dirt cheap, it's a bad move
- compared to the IIIp. The IIIp will only run you about $100 more, and
- you get the neat-o Resolution Enhancement technology, also known as
- FinePrint in the IIf and IIg.
-
- The other thing to watch out for: LaserJets of all varieties (except the
- IIIsi, which is a god of a printer) are slow printing PostScript. We
- bought a standard LJIII and tossed in the PostScript cartridge, the
- AppleTalk interface, and 4 meg of memory, and it was unbearably slow
- for Illustrator and PageMaker stuff, and even straight text was
- noticeably slower than our old LaserWriter II NT.
-
- How much is all that going to cost you? The educational price of a
- Personal LaserWriter NTR is around $1400US, and it'll fly.
