  10.   I am a SYSOP of a BBS whose primary user base are poeple with
  11. DOS based systems.
  12.   One of my users has a MAC and likes to download and view GIF
  13. files.  He uses ResEdit change the TYPE and CREATOR of the
  14. image file in order to view an image created with a DOS based
  15. image system.
  16.   He wants to upload files that are in, i suppose, native MAC
  17. GIF format to my system, but he wants to convert them to a 
  18. format that I can view.
  19.   The type ResEdit says it is reading in (from my system) is
  20. text and the creator is MACA.  He changes these to GIFf and 8IBM
  21. in order to view the image.
  22.   He tried changing it back and then sending to me, but it
  23. failed.
