  15. I finally got information on the GateWay handbook.

  37. The processor is the " PC in a chip". It's an 8088 with all supporting chips
  38. inclusive.  The whole PC is on the chip except I/O and ram.  Because of
  39.  
  40. the compactness of the chip the computer has 286 performance and a low power
  41. usage.  The battery life is longer than most portables, due to this fact. 
  42. Most of the power consumption will come from the backlit LDC screen and
  43. the hard drive.
