- The PC I am using is has got a card and monitor with SuperVGA
- capabilities but I find that I cannot use the extended VGA modes that it
- is supposed to support. I have a program (called ADAPTER.EXE that came with
- SVGA111) that determines what type of card you have and what display resolution
- you can display. It shows that the computer will display 320x200x256 and
- 640x400x256 but the latter does not work. The manual for it displays an
- On Board VGA Jumper Select table that give three different alternatives.
- It is currently at the 'Software Control' setting and has two more that
- are 'Hardare Enable' and 'Hardware Disable'. Should this jumper be set to
- 'Hardware Enable' to obtain the extended modes or is it another problem?
- The BIOS is Phoenix 80386SX ROM BIOS Version 3.01. Could this be the reason
- why the extended modes do not work?
