- Ok I am no phone expert but I would guess that the flash signal comes from
- La Plus Belle thru something else than the 2 middle wires on your RJ11
- connector. Now any modem passes all wires over anyway to the phone socket
- on the modem, so if you would leave a phone that has such a flash light open,
- assuming you have the extra warning service, you would SEE it on your phone.
- You also would probably hear for free the lovely chat between your modem and
- its remote mate. This is also certainly true if you connect a phone in
- parallel with the modem: after you are conncted, lift the phone and watch
- the flash...And if it works, tell me that I guessed right: such service does
- not exist yet on my exchange, so that I can't try it.
