- Just a small tidbit about Commodore's marketing and the Amiga:
- What many people don't realize is the development team for the first Amiga
- was actually under contract to Atari when it was owned by Warner Bros.
- Then (as I understand it) Jack Tramiel (of C64 marketing fame) left the
- helm of Commodore to buy Atari (computers - the arcade game division was
- sold separately), but Warner sold its rights to the Amiga to Commodore.
- Jack put together a team to design the Atari ST and Tramiel's Operating
- System (TOS). Jack and his relatives did an even worse job of marketing
- the Atari than the new Commodore did in marketing the (designed for the old
- Atari) Amiga.
