- I realize that this may be bit of a stupid question, but I know this
- friend has a '286 and just got 4Mb RAM installed. The BIOS (Phoenix,
- circa 1986(?)) reports that 4Mb just fine. However, none of shows up
- as EMS memory. I assume that this is because EMM.SYS in not in the
- CONFIG.SYS. (OOPS! I forgot to say that he's using DOS 3.3!!!!)
-
- 1) Is the assumption that EMM.SYS sets up and manages EMS correct?
- 2) What are the parameters for EMM in CONFIG.SYS? He got the computer
- from somebody who either didn't have or lost the manual. I've got a
- new machine with DOS 5.0.
-
- THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR ANY AND ALL ANSWERS!!!!
