  11. My brother just got a oldish laptop, used.
  12. It has 2 floppies but no harddrive.  I've been using pc's for years, so I am a
  13. pretty good power user, but I have never ever touched hardware in my life.

  15. I'm wondering if there is a way to hook up an external hd to this old laptop.
  16. The only ports it has on the back are one serial, one parallel, and one video.

  18. I know a hd can't plug right on to parallel port of course, but perhaps there
  19. is some tricky device that can go there, to connect a hd.
