- Given a 486DX 50Mhz machine (not a DX-2) that will be on all day, turned
- off at night and will be mainly running Windows and future multitasking
- environments, would I be wise in adding a heat sink or cooling fan onto the
- CPU? Intel says that their CPU doesnt require it, but it seems to get
- awfully hot. Also, in the latest PC Mag, Dvorak says that OS/2 fried one
- of his 486-50 machines and he has installed a CPU cooling fan in his new
- one! Is Dvorak's case the exception or the rule?
-
- Thanks for any replies, and my apologies if this is a FAQ.
