  10.         I recently purchased a GVC 9600 baud modem, but the manual seems 
  11. to be lacking in certain parts -- in particular about 5 chapters are 
  12. missing, including those which describe how to use the error-correction 
  13. and data compression modes.
  14.  
  15.         What commands are used on this modem to activate the v.42 and 
  16. v.42bis modes?  Thanks in advance for any help!
