  13.           After receiving numerous replies to my original post two days
  14.     ago, the majority consensus agreed the Maxtor drive was the better
  15.     deal of the two drives.  I did receive some supportive replies for the
  16.     Seagates, however given it's past history, Lenny (My college buddy)
  17.     decided to play it safe and go with the Maxtor 130M IDE drive.
  18.     Its speeder than the Seagate (15ms vs 17ms) and it seems to be a
  19.     favorite among those who Emailed me with their experiences with both
  20.     drives.  I would like to thank the following people with helping us
  21.     make a better, more informed decision:
