- Posted for a colleague here:
-
- "We are currently using VRAM II cards in Hyundai 386dx pcs. The VRAM II
- cards are manufactured by Headland Technology inc. The pcs have loaded
- onto them a device driver called "rambios.sys", which comes on the
- utilities disk supplied along with the card.
-
- The problem we are having is that on some of the pcs, when they are warm
- booted, the rambios.sys device driver does not load correctly - an error
- message is returned saying:
-
- vga ram bios, version 2.0
- improper video adapter present!
-
- The problem is rectified by doing a cold boot. The problem is not present
- with all pcs. The problem, from our testing so far, seems to be with the
- cards. Some machines work load rasmbios.sys successfully after a warm
- boot, some do not.
-
- Has anybody else encountered this problem and did they find a solution.

- So ..... can anyone shed any light on this?? Please reply by email as I
- don't read this group normally,
