- I am having a hell of a time getting a DOS program (Current Contents 1.3.3)
- to work. The program calls PKUNZIP to decompress files on disk in A:
- (1.44 MB TEAC) but tries to access both drives, then sometimes thinks its
- getting something from A:, then gives an error when trying to get the rest
- of the data set from a 2nd floppy disk.
-
- Also, I sometimes get the error in the Workplace Shell that drive A: can't
- find the sector requested when opening the drive just to view the contents.
-
- I swapped the floppy drive controller board with another but no improvement.
-
- Here's the system configuration:
-
- Mylex MXA-386 system board
- 16 MB RAM
- Phoenix v. 1.10.10 BIOS (1989)
- Conner CP3204 HDD
- FDD A: Teac
- FDD B: Teac 1.2 MB
- TD (generic) IDE board / FDD controller
- ATI Graphics Vantage 1 MB
-
- I did get the Mylex v. 6.09 BIOS, but haven't installed it.
-
- (1) Have you used the Mylex board / Phoenix BIOS successfully with os/2
- 2.0?
-
- (2) Has anyone used system boards with the Mylex BIOS with any operating
- system? Any compatibility problems?
-
- Any help will be greatly appreciated.
