- I'm running Windows 3.1 on a 386SX25 with a DiamondSpeedstar VGA. Graphics
- performance is rather slow, especially when doing window text scrolling,
- which is horrible.
-
- The VGA card itself seems quite fast, so I'm trying to figure out the
- bottleneck - would either a math coprocessor (387) help or a faster/wider
- CPU (e.g a 386DX) ?
-
- I've tried drivers from the Microsoft BBS, Diamond plus the TurboWindows
- one, they are all within 10-15% of each other in scrolling performance.
-
- Any ideas on what the bottleneck is/how to fix it ?
