  20. I have one by C.P.I. (Computer Peripherals, Inc.???) and it has worked
  21. flawlessly.  It's only a 2400 baud modem though.  I think the model
  22. designation is "VIVA 2496ef" or something like that.  It's an external
  23. model that comes with WinFax software.  It has MNP5 and V42.bis implemented
  24. in hardware.  Again, it's only 2400 baud, but if you're like me you
  25. don't have any higher speed places you normally dial into - so it's just
  26. fine.  The fax part works perfectly, both send and receive.

  28. Price?  $149 at Best Buy.  (Probably even cheaper now - I've never seen
  29. anybody bounce prices around as much as these guys do!)
