- I have one by C.P.I. (Computer Peripherals, Inc.???) and it has worked
- flawlessly. It's only a 2400 baud modem though. I think the model
- designation is "VIVA 2496ef" or something like that. It's an external
- model that comes with WinFax software. It has MNP5 and V42.bis implemented
- in hardware. Again, it's only 2400 baud, but if you're like me you
- don't have any higher speed places you normally dial into - so it's just
- fine. The fax part works perfectly, both send and receive.

- Price? $149 at Best Buy. (Probably even cheaper now - I've never seen
- anybody bounce prices around as much as these guys do!)
