- Ok. My problem was that my RLL disk died... I was getting
- 'invalid partition table' errors.
-
- The only bit of advice I got from the net so far was to
- reduce the # of cyllinders during low level format.
- Since the partition table is on the first cyllinder of
- the disk, I don't think this would work.
-
- Anyway, what I did was pull out an old '286 machine
- here at work, hook up my disk and run a program called
- (lemme look for the name...) ok. It's
- DISK MANAGER- SEAGATE (Version 3.50)
- Using this, I was able to carry out the low-level
- format and to create a partition table. I'll
- plug it back into the original controller tonight,
- and let the net know how it goes tomorrow.
-
- Wish me luck!
