- Hi netters,
-
- although my last question about this controller didn't get any useful
- answers. I will try it again.
- I received an offer for an EISA system with the Bustek 742 controller.
- This is fine. However, it is possible, that the system that will run
- on this system won't support EISA harddisk controllers in the current release
- but will be in one of the next's, I guess. So, my question is this:
- Is the Bustek-742 compatible with the Adaptec-1542 or can I configure
- it this way ?
- The DMA-speed shouldn't matter to the device-driver, right ?
- Or should I insist on the Adaptec-1742 controller which starts
- in Adaptec-1542 mode, instead ?
- Thanks in advance for your help.
-
- Regards,
- Norbert Bladt.
