- Hi,
-
- I am trying to get information on dip switch settings and any operating
- information on USDC 4220 access accelerator SCSI->ESDI bridgeboard (access
- ESDI drives off of SCSI buss)
-
- If you have no info, but are familiar with USDS, an address or phone number
- (or both) would be nice.
-
- I will be using the board to control up to 4 Maxtor XT8760E drives...
-
- Anyone have info on the jumpers on the XT8760E, I called Maxtor and used
- their menu system to get jumper info on sectors/track (52,53, or 54) and
- their info did not match the jumper settings on either of the 2 XT8760E
- drives I currently have and I had even less success getting anything to work
- when I used Maxtor's setting for 54 sec/trk....
-
- Has anyone ever tried this combination ?
-
- I will be hinging the bridgeboard with drives off of my Adpatec 1522B SCSI
- card.....
-
- Here is what I currently get.....
-
- 1. Bridgeboard is recognized as existing on SCSI buss
- 2. 1st attempt to AFDISK (adaptec software) resulted in a strange
- geometry (with only 560Meg) and a write error writing the partition
- 3. 1st format (via 1522's BIOS) formatted succesfully
- 4. 2nd AFDISK (after 1st format) results in a drive not ready error
-
- Any info on the USDC bridgeboard or the Maxtor XT8760E will be
- greatly appreciated....
-
- Thanks,
-
