- If you are lucky, that should be all there is to it. I replaced an 8250
- on my Hayes modem, two 8250s on my Everex Multi-IO card with 16550AFNs and
- have had NO PROBLEMS since. But be aware that you could end up with dead
- boards if the Goldstar 16450 isn't pin compatible with the NS16450. Also,
- some serial cards are cheap and are not well suited for the NS16550AFN.
