- I know this sounds weird, but try running with the minimum amount of cards
- installed. Next move the multi io card around. I had the same exact
- problem with my 386-40, a made in taiwan multi-io card, and a 7120AT HD.
-
- For some reason (possibly bus noise), if I had any cards to the right of
- where the io card was, I had trouble accessing the hard drive at turbo
- speed. With the io card in the rightmost slot, and all the other cards
- to the left of the io card, no problem. I can't explain why my system
- is like this, but I can recreate the problem by rearranging my internal
- cards.
-
- By the way, I only had the problem when I upgraded from a prodesigner IIs
- to a Hicolor Stealth. No one has yet to come up with good explaination
- yet, but my system is up and working at turbo speed now!!
-
- I hope this "black-magic" trick might help out...
