- In my experience, ST-02s work with some non Seagate drives. Not all.
-
- Mine does not work with my 40 MB Quantum drive. This drive works fine
- with my Adaptech 1522 if I simply swap controllers, but is not
- recognised by the ST-02. I am using the ST-02 with another, non
- Segate, drive. It works fine, if a little slowly.
-
- I've also read other reports on the net about ST-01 and ST-02 not
- working with certain drives. Seagate says they only work with Seagate
- drives, but net experience says you pays your money ( very little
- money ) and you takes your chances. ST-01 and ST-02 controllers
- work with some, but not all, non Segate drives.
