- I suggest leaving Interface off the list, and adding Communications
- and Graphics instead. I believe that Interface would attract heavy
- crossposting due to the frequent occasions on which it is not clear
- whether a problem is due to a device or its interface, especially for
- the less experienced users.
-
- 4a. Communications (serial ports, modems)
-
- 4b. Graphics (video, joysticks, trackballs)

-
- 6. Motherboard (motherboards and BIOS)
-
- 7. Purchasing (buying a complete system)
-
- 8. Printers (printers and parallel ports)
-
- 9. Miscellaneous (for anything that doesn't fit elsewhere - an
- essential category in a good split)
-
- By the way, aren't discussions on new newsgroups supposed to take
- place in group news.groups, according to the rules? I would prefer
- having it crossposted to csiph, though, since our site doesn't
- subscribe to the news.* hierarchy and doesn't have enough spare
- disk or modem capacity to consider adding any more hierarchies.
