- Hi. I'm trying to set up an UltraStor 12(F) ESDI controller
- and an IDE drive in the same system. I can set the UltraStor
- to 1) "Co-reside with another controller", and 2) use the
- secondary hard drive I/O addresses, and 3) move the ROM BIOS
- from C800 (primary address) to CC00 (secondary address), and
- 4) disable the floppy controller (the IDE host adapter has one).
-
- My question is about interupts. The IDE adapter wants irq14
- (fixed disk interrupt). The UltraStor can be set for irq14 or irq15
- (irq15 shows up in Norton SI as Reserved, owned by BIOS).
- Can both controllers use irq14?
-
- I would appreciate it if someone who is setup to do this could
- check their setup and send me the info, or if someone who knows
- about the PC interrupt structure could help me out.
-
- The system is a 386 with AMI BIOS, The IDE adapter is a Seagate
- ST08A.
-
- Thanks very much,
- Kyl Scott
