- to his machine which already has 4 Megs of 1Mb SIMMS.

- Theoretically, there should be no jumper to set for the additional
- memory to be automatically recognised.

- However, one thing which might merit being looked at is if the SIMMS
- that have to be used are 8 bit SIMMS or 9 bit. 9 bit SIMMS have a
- parity bit, and this is usually required by most PCs. As a result,
- if the SIMMS you are adding are 8 bit SIMMS then they won't be recognised
- because the parity will be wrong.

- The idea of 8 or 9 bit SIMMS exists only with 1Mb SIMMS.
