  11. I'm attempting to get a WD1006-VMM2 and an AHA1542B to work in the same
  12. system.  The system boots off the WD.  The 1542 has only one disk and
  13. it is at 0:0.  The 1542 also currently has all the default settings,
  14. with the exception of the floppy controller is set at the secondary
  15. address.

  17. I don't have a manual for the WD, so I'm not 100% sure I don't have a
  18. problem with the port adress, DMA, and interupts.

  20. My currents symptoms are that Esix works like a champ.  No problems what
  21. so ever.  However, DOS 5.0 is another story.  ASPI4DOS loads, but
  22. typically locks after a couple commands.  It almost always locks if I
  23. try to load MSCDEX 2.21.

  25. Since my only known state was the 1542, I attempted to use other DMA
  26. channels and interupts.  IN anything other than the default, Esix
  27. refused to boot.

  29. If anyone has any experience in getting two controllers to work in the
  30. same system, please send me email so I may ask more detail questions.
  31. Any advice on how to troubleshoot the problem will also be well
  32. received.
