  12. One of the executives in Dofasco's Engineering department is using an
  13. AST 386SX Exec. laptop computer with a DEC LK250 external keyboard.
  14. Every time he connects to his local LAN with his Xircom external ethernet
  15. adapter, the external keyboard starts acting funny.  He will press 'C',
  16. for instance, and the computer will act as if he's pressed 'F'.  The odd
  17. thing is that if he presses 'C' again, the computer will behave properly.

  19. All of his hardware seems to be behaving as designed.  I swapped in another
  20. AST 386SX Exec. and reproduced the problem.  I swapped in another DEC LK250
  21. external keyboard and reproduced the problem.  Without the external keyboard
  22. attached, everything works fine, so I don't think there's a problem with his
  23. Xircom box either.

  25. Can anyone suggest a cause and/or a fix for this problem?
