  10. I finally looked at my multi-IO card, and on it are 2 unsocketed chips
  11. labeled Goldstar 16450. The chips are rather large and have 40 pins.
  12. Can I remove them and replace them with the 16550AFN? Is that all
  13. there is to it hardware-wise, besides letting Windows and any comm 
  14. programs know about it?
