- I followed the thread about using ramdrives for TEMP file
- in windows. I now know that it is OK to do that. But a few
- questions. Thanks in advance to anyone who could answer them.
- 1) How big should the ramdrive be? I read some poster
- saying ~5MB but that would be too much for most users
- with only 4MB.
- 2) If I have a 1MB ramdrive for TEMP files, what will
- happen if the TEMP files need more than the 1MB? Would
- it use some other subdir(which one?) or would it refuse
- to create the TEMP files and stop(crash?).
- 3) Is allocating precious RAM for a ramdrive for TEMP file
- worthwhile? What apps would use TEMP files frequently
- that it is justified?
- 4) What are the recommended ramdrive size for TEMP files in
- system with 4MB, 8MB, etc?
