- Good day NetLanders! I'm having trouble un-tar-ing some files. I'm running
- PC-DOS 5.0 on an IBM PS/2 Model 55sx on a Novell Netware (v3.11?) Network.
-
- All downloaded MS-DOS "tar.exe" files I've tried really go haywire when I
- execute them. Some of them actually begin creating a file, but for the most
- part the results are not usable (executable or text).
-
- My alternative is to move them to a UNIX machine around here and uncompress
- them and then move them back to where I need them. And that's what I'll be
- doing in the mean time, but that's not my first choice. :-)
-
- Any suggestions on parameters, updates to the tar.exe program for MS DOS
- machines, or advice in general would be appreciated.
-
- Thanks much in advance!
