- Actually, "the entire port connector and related paraphernalia" is simply the
- port connector and the back cover, right Joe? The reason the 48S costs a lot
- less than the 48SX is because HP would like to take part of the graphing
- calculator market share away from Casio and Sharp, and wouldn't be able to
- do it at their usual mark up -- it's pure marketing, I believe; HP's goal in
- life is to maximize its profits, after all!

- I agree with you that, for almost all people, selling a 48S and buying a 48SX
- is a lot less trouble than ripping open a 48S and installing some semi-
- permanent extra memory!
