- THE PROBLEM:

- My hp48 spends a lot of time looking for certain kinds of numbers.

- I might go through a set of brand new batteries in 3 _days_!

- While it's looking for things, the screen is on and of course consuming power.

- I've been using the <ON-(MINUS KEY)> combination to turn the screen down.

- THE QUESTION:

- Is there something I can SYSEVAL (or something like that) to deactivate the
- screen during a program and later to reenable it with another command?
