- Hmm, why don't you just use rechargeables? Then, you can leave the
- battery overnight (with a backup Alkaline set) and it will be ready for a
- few more months. Granted, they have a tendency to leak with certain
- brands like the white Panasonic (P-50AA) and only 1.2V / 500mAh. Not to
- mention the extra cost of the batteries and the recharger, but Radio
- Shack can help you find them. Just remember the backup set and hope the
- 1.2V is compatible (has enough power/juice/voltage) with the 1.5V
- batteries.

- If this doesn't work, get a 4 D-Cell battery holder from Radio Shack with
- a "Dummy" battery (or perhaps an extra one if you want to use
- rechargeables) and run two wires into the HP48. Then, place the D-Cells
- into a hip pouch and you're all set (wires can be run under the shirt
- with tape to hide them, as long as you get a wrist holder of some kind
- for it.
