- Since there is as yet no standard for bi-directional centronics, it is worth
- mentioning that the Series 300, 400 and 700 bidirectional scheme was
- designed for use with the HP 9190A Scanjet and 9195A ScanJet Plus (both now
- discontined and replaced by SCSI scanners). These original ScanJets used a
- mostly proprietary input mode developed by Canon. Odds are it will NOT work
- with whatever device you have.
