  14. A recently delivered HP 9000/382 came with a PaintJet printer, which has been
  15. sited in out office area, rather than in a clean area, which is isn't praticable.
  16. I was advised that this beast could be sited on a DEC portserver, and the
  17. multinet package used so that anyone on a vax,hp or sun on the network would make
  18. use of it. All was fine with text files which are sent to it, but raster images
  19. are proving tricky. Taking the example of a graph created by BBN's RS/1, the
  20. printer spews some nonsense, and then about half the graph, and then some more
  21. nonsense. I tried using the PBMPLUS utlity to convert both icon and raster images
  22. to ppm and then subsequently to pj using ppmtopj, but this fails miserably as
  23. well.  All this suggests to me a problem with my switch selection ...

  49. I have been told that the port has DTR hard-wired, so I have tried the DIP switch
  50. at XON-XOFF & DTR. No luck for either.
