- Do you also not get a copy of the messages which the kernel (/hp-ux)
- writes during bootup, i.e. f.e. the "real|lockable|avail mem = "
- messages?

- Perhaps your problem is similar as the one described by John-Paul van
- der Jagt (jeanpaul@duteca.et.tudelft.nl), but I don't know why dmesg
- would "hang".
