- I was under the impression that for the 635 and one or two other 600
- series machines, the AT&T kernel user-counting scheme was abandoned,
- and 2 users means two users, period, network or otherwise.
-
- I was also under the impression that it was possible to buy the 635 as
- a >2 user machine, but the license was *very* expensive. This
- contradicts what Bob Niland said in another post, and he usually knows
- what he is talking about.
-
- I was under these impressions as a result of extensive discussions
- with HP salespeople and SE's, and it was these facts(?) that convinced
- us not to buy a 635. So if I'm wrong, there should be some red faces
- at HP.
-
- Just out of curiosity, how difficult/expensive is it to upgrade one of
- those to an 837, if it's possible at all?
