- HP 700 Admins/users:
- We are new at installing/updating software on the
- HP 700 machines (most previous experience is with Apollo's).
- We are trying to update a HP 720 from HP-UX 8.05 to
- HP-UX 8.07 using CDROM. We had a CDROM player on another
- HP 720 machine and we moved it to the new machine. We
- cannot mount the CDROM. We have powered everything off
- and brought it up "cleanly" (CDROM player, then system)
- and still cannot mount. We had this problem on another
- machine but it seemed to clear up when we followed the
- "clean" power-up procedure. This is very frustrating
- since it seems like it should be fairly straightforward.
- Any suggestions or insights to the problem would be
- appreciated. E-mail to marquard@oasys.dt.navy.mil
- please. Thanks.
