- I recently added a Seagate WREN 8 to an HP 9000 model 730. I had no
- entry in /etc/disktab, so I made one up, then using "newfs" and
- the warning messages it gave me (regarding non-allocated sectors
- on the last cylinder), I "adjusted" the value of "s0#".
-
- I ended up with a file system of 1.372797 GB (1.235445 GB available).
-
- I'm not sure if the /etc/disktab entry is "valid". Are there any
- dangers of using that entry? Should I "re-adjust" it?
-
- Here is the entry I used:
-
- WREN_VIII|WREN_VIII_noswap|WREN_VIII_noreserve|WREN_VIII_noswap:\
- :No swap or boot:ns#154:nt#15:nc#2107:\
- :s0#1383150:b0#8192:f0#1024:\
- :se#1024:rm#3600:
-
- Thank you for your input,
-
